Hawkeye Bookstore is your place for official Hawkeye Community College textbooks, gear, and supplies. You can look up the textbooks you will need for each of your classes online, buy used and new textbooks, find official Hawkeye Community College gear, and purchase gift certificates and gifts in store or online. Three Ways to Save Money on Textbooks!The Hawkeye Bookstore offers three ways to save money on your textbooks: - Rent textbooks when available.
- Purchase used books.
- Purchase eBooks.
Student Book Purchase PolicyHawkeye Bookstore is an independently operated bookstore located in the Hawkeye Center on Hawkeye's Main Campus. Hawkeye allows all registered students to charge required textbooks, software, calculators, and flash drives to their student college account. The allowed charging dates are ten calendar days prior to the first day of the semester through the tenth calendar day of the semester. Students are responsible for any bookstore charges added to their student college account if they do not have enough financial aid to cover the expense. Students have the option to pay Hawkeye Bookstore directly, without charging to their student college account. Students with approved financial aid may receive a Guernsey Loan to pay for required textbooks, software, calculators, and flash drives for late start classes. charged to your Student Account. You can charge your books to your Student Account at the beginning of the semester. You must be registered for classes. For summer classes, you can charge your books May 23 - June 6, 2013. For Fall classes you can charge your books August 16 - September 4, 2013. If you have financial aid left over after your tuition and fees have been paid, you can apply your financial aid toward your books. If you do not have enough aid after your tuition and fees have been paid, you are responsible for the remaining balance on your Student Account. Textbook Return Policy* Workshops, Special Programs, and Minimester Classes: The last day for a textbook refund is by the end of the second day of class. Text materials returned must be in the same condition as when you purchased them: - New books are unmarked (25% deducted if marked, bent, or torn).
- Shrink wrapped books or software must have the wrap unbroken.
You must have the following: - your Hawkeye student ID or driver's license,
- a valid sales receipt or financial aid receipt, and
- your credit card if you paid by credit card so your account will be credited
Book Buy BackAt the end of each semester you can sell your books back to the Hawkeye Bookstore if you wish. Buyback is usually the last two weeks of the semester. |
