Welding
The Welding program prepares students to enter into the industry as beginning production, maintenance, or job shop welders. Students are trained using the latest techniques in the fabrication of materials by welding process. Welding continues to be one of the principle means of fabricating and repairing metal products. An independent certification laboratory evaluates each student's performance on the American Welding Society Structural Steel Bend test for possible certification before graduation. Evening ProgramEarn a diploma in welding in the evening! With classes starting at 3:00pm, the evening program allows you to work and go to school at the same time. Transfer InformationHawkeye Community College has a block articulation agreement with the University of Northern Iowa to transfer general education and technical credits.
