Liberal Arts AA and AS Degrees

Emphasis Area – Political Science

A degree in Political Science is one of the most versatile degrees you can earn. If you are interested in either public service or a career in the private sector, this field offers a variety of tracks including international affairs, global finance, government service and policy-making, law, and diplomacy.

If you are interested in military service, working for non-profit organizations, banking, cultural exchange, and/or politics,  you can benefit from a degree in political science.

There are many sub-fields of expertise, many opportunities for funding an advanced degree, job placement, and public administration, all of which can be accessed more readily with a Political Science degree.

An emphasis area in Political Science can be readily interfaced with other disciplinary areas. Many successful business persons and community leaders have earned a degree in political science in addition to other fields as well as their work experience.
