Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA on all college-level course work. Some programs may require a higher GPA.
24 transferable semester hours of college credit OR meet all admission requirements of incoming freshman.
C- or better in the following courses
All students graduating from the College of Agriculture and Life Science must complete an ethics class. Students can take PHI105 Intro to Ethics at Hawkeye Community College before transferring.
General Education Requirements
Students completing Hawkeye's Associate of Arts degree following the specifications of Hawkeye will have met Iowa State's General Education requirements except the U.S. Diversity and International Perspectives courses. Students can complete this requirement at Hawkeye before transfer by completing one class from each list below.
Transfer Course Equivalencies
The following course recommendations are for students planning on completing their Liberal Arts - AA degree at Hawkeye.
We encourage students to work closely with their Hawkeye Advisor in Student Services and their Iowa State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences advisor to plan the courses they need to take at Hawkeye to transfer to the major of their choice.
Students must take the Biology I and II sequence at the same institution. If students take BIO112 Biology I at Hawkeye, they must also take BIO113 Biology II at Hawkeye to transfer the courses.
