Admission Requirements

  1. Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA on all college-level course work. Some programs may require a higher GPA.

  2. 24 transferable semester hours of college credit OR meet all admission requirements of incoming freshman.

All credits earned will transfer on a credit by credit basis.

Foreign Language Requirement

To fulfill this requirement, students must either:

  • complete two years of a single foreign language in high school OR
  • two semesters of a single foreign language in college.

English Proficiency

Must earn a C- or better in each of the following courses:

  • ENG105 Composition I
  • ENG106 Composition II

LIB160 Library Instruction, offered at Iowa State, must also be taken to fulfill the English Proficiency requirement.
