I've Been Accepted! Now What?
Now that you have been accepted, it is important to plan prior to beginning your college career. This is a brief guide to many of the important steps you will need to take between now and the first day of class. Registering for ClassesYour department will contact you through your Hawkeye email about registering for classes. Once you have registered for your classes you can buy your books. If you have questions for your department, please visit Programs Offered, click on the department and then program name. Each program page lists the contact person for the program. MORE – Mandatory Orientation and Registration ExperienceAs a new student you will have the opportunity to attend a MORE to learn about the student services at Hawkeye and register for classes. For more information or to sign up for your MORE please check your Hawkeye email after you have been accepted to Hawkeye. Accepted to Future Term?If your acceptance letter states you have been accepted to a term other than the term you applied for, this means your desired program is either currently full or does not start during the term requested. However, you are still able to register for classes. Please contact an Advisor in Student Services to schedule an appointment to take pre-coursework. Program Change / Address Change? If you wish to change your major or your mailing address, contact the Admissions office as soon as possible. |
