Graduate Spotlight – Aquonn Williams

Though he grew up in Waterloo, Aquonn Williams didn’t take a direct path to Hawkeye Community College. He spent time at two other community colleges, but he wasn’t ready for college and each time ended up returning home. His mother encouraged him to come to Hawkeye, where he found a community that supported him and classes that kept him engaged. “There are so many people here that can help you out and make you succeed.”
