Hawkeye Community College Student Wins National Dental Hygiene Scholarship

WATERLOO–Hawkeye Community College student Toril Einwalter, of Fort Atkinson, is recipient of the Young Innovations Scholarship from the American Dental Hygienists’ Association’s Institute for Oral Health.

Two $2,500 scholarships are awarded annually, one to a student in a bachelor’s degree program and one in a certificate or associate degree program. Priority is given to students who demonstrate outreach activities, volunteerism, and leadership qualities. Einwalter was inducted into the National Society for Leadership and Success, has participated in a student panel for an ethics conference, and volunteers through multiple organizations.

Einwalter is completing her first year in the Dental Hygiene program. She is invited to attend the ADHA Annual Conference June 14-17, 2017, in Jacksonville, Florida, as a guest of the scholarship sponsor, Young Dental.
