Hawkeye Foundation Names New Members to Board of Directors

WATERLOO—The Hawkeye Community College Foundation welcomed three new members to the Board of Directors: Patrice (Pat) M. Brock, Stacey J. Bentley, and John S. Tuve.
Pat Brock is a Health Care Professional who has been with the Wheaton Franciscan (Covenant) Healthcare System for more than twelve years. Brock works part-time in different areas as a nurse and as a health care consultant. She utilizes her skills to educate people on improving their health and is a volunteer health advocate for seniors. Over the last 30 years, Brock has volunteered for many organizations and has been on different committees and boards in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area, giving of her time and talents. Brock and her husband, Bob, live in Waterloo and have two children.
Stacey Bentley, Cedar Valley Market President of Community National Bank, has been with Community National Bank since its beginning almost 14 years ago. With more than 30 years of banking experience, Bentley was previously employed by Norwest Bank, MidAmerica Savings Bank, and Peoples Bank and Trust Co. in Waterloo, Iowa. She is actively involved in the Cedar Valley community. She currently serves on the board of Iowa Bankers Association and the Cedar Valley Chamber of Commerce. She serves as a foundation board member for Allen Hospital and KBBG Radio. In addition, Bentley served on numerous boards and is a member of the Waterloo Downtown Rotary and Iowa Women in Philanthropy. She and her husband, Russ, have two children.
John Tuve, President of Tuve Investments, Inc., has more than 25 years of experience in the investment, insurance, and financial services industry. He holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a personal wealth advisor and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner. In addition, Tuve has served on many advisory boards for some of the nation’s largest financial institutions including John Hancock, DWS, and Lincoln National. Tuve and his wife, Beverly, live in Parkersburg and have three children.
Officers elected for 2011-12 were: Vicki Angove, president; Frank Dowie, vice president; Todd Rohlfsen, treasurer; and Elizabeth Kilgard, secretary.
Also serving on the board are Ken Allbaugh, Steve Dust, Kris Hansen, Jim Ingles, Mark Kittrell, Dave Krejchi, Tim Luce, Casey McLaughlin, Jim Mudd Jr., Nancy Pinkston, Gretchen Syhre, and Harlan Van Gerpen.
Through the generous support of the friends of Hawkeye Community College, the Foundation helps meet the educational and development needs of the college. By raising funds from private sources, the Foundation provides scholarships, assists in providing educational opportunities outside of the classroom, supports faculty and staff development, purchases college and classroom equipment, and assists with other support services.
