Black History Month 2013

The Brock Student Center's February monthly observance has been Black History Month. Student Life has hosted several activities in the Student Center throughout the month in honor of Black History Month. Many movies were shown that educated students about Black history. The movies and the dates that they were shown in the Brock Student Center are listed below:
- February 2 - Remember the Titans
- February 8 - The Blind Side
- February 15 - The Help
- February 22 - The Color Purple
In addition to the movies being shown, students could also participate in Black History Jeopardy on February 18. The students who played answered questions about African American activists, African Americans in sports, and geography and random facts pertaining to Black history. Ashley Jones was pronounced the winner of Black History Jeopardy.
The college will also host two speakers this week, whom will be highlighted in a separate article.
