Student Life hosted several activities this week in observance of Earth Week. They were:
Earth Day Celebration
The annual Earth Day Celebration took place in the Brock Student Center on Monday, April 22 from 10:00am-1:00pm. Several vendors and clubs participated in this event. In addition, free walking tacos and several activities were offered, including: bike-powered smoothies, decorating reusable grocery bags, potting a plant in a tin can, and a recycled material sculpture contest. Students who participated in activities had their names put into a drawing for a free bike. The winner of the free bike was Katie Schimerowski, so congratulations to her!
Campus Clean Up
Campus Clean Up took place all day on Tuesday, April 23. Students could report to the Brock Student Center and be assigned to clean various parts of campus. The main focus was on cleaning the route for the Powder Fun Run/Walk, which took place on Tuesday evening. Thank you to everyone who took the time out of their day to volunteer and help to clean up the campus!
Make and Take: Laundry Detergent
This month's Make and Take was laundry detergent. Students could make and take their own detergent on Thursday, April 25 from 11:00am-1:00pm in the Brock Student Center. This make and take encouraged students to be more conservative in their cleaning by saving money and being more eco-friendly.
