Group of professionals looking at laptops and talking

Great businesses don't just adapt to the needs of their customers. To be successful, they must understand the needs of their workforce. It’s about more than hiring the right people. It’s also providing the right opportunities to grow as professionals.

Hawkeye’s Business Consortium Workshops will equip employees with the critical skills needed for professional development. This series will focus on specific business topics vital for success such as handling difficult conversations, assessing your emotional intelligence, learning to lead yourself, the art of skillful negotiations, finding meaning in your work, providing rockstar customer service, and much more. You’ll leave each session with valuable knowledge to apply at your workplace the next day.

Trustworthy Leader

Trust is most imperative to a leader's credibility, influence and success.  We spend so little intentional time thinking about and developing the skills, habits, mindsets and behaviors that lead to excellent and effective relationships, as leaders.  In this session, we will drill into trust at the core level, how to build it, why it matters and more.  This session will get leaders excited to work from person to person, building relationships that develop strong business and more fulfilling culture in the workplace.  If trust is lacking, results will follow.  If trust is deepened and present, watch out, you and your organization can become unstoppable.

Positive Work Culture

Why wouldn't we work to create a workplace that people love, that they develop within, that they want to contribute to because they actually WANT to?  A huge part of a positive workplace culture is learning how to get results and become successful.  And, while doing those high value things, to also build a nature and a way of working that allows for people to contribute, nurture development, feel supported with healthy accountability and more.  We all must become more intentional about the how, what and why within our culture.  We can attract and retain great individuals that do much more than "show up for work."  We can create places where people feel proud of the place they contribute to and also, feel proud of themselves while doing so.
