Fluid Power Training

Workshop 5: Industrial Pneumatics

This workshop provides a foundation from which the participant will be able to build upon in pneumatic systems. Review of circuits, troubleshooting concepts and hands-on set-up and operation will be helpful to maintenance and repair technicians, engineers and supervisors who have no formal pneumatic training, as well as for those intending to take the IFPS certification exams.

This workshop provides the technical information needed as a foundation for work with pneumatics components and systems. It is intended to impart an understanding of basic principles involved in the development and transmission of energy in pneumatics systems. This hands-on course covers compressors, vacuum pumps, storage tanks, and their use in various industrial system. It also includes control valves that are used in process control applications. It is an excellent preparation for the International Fluid Power Society Certification Examinations for Hydraulic Specialists, Hydraulic Technician or Hydraulic Mechanic.
