GED and Language Learning Programs

English Language Learning (ELL)

The English Language Learning (ELL) course for adults offers two sessions.

  • Fall Semester starts in August.
  • Spring Semester starts in January.

Each semester is 15 weeks of instruction. The four-level program integrates listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, math, and pronunciation skills with life-skills topics, critical thinking activities, and civics concepts. Computer skills are included in the course.

Classes are offered free of charge with the provision that each student is required to take a test at the end of the semester. Students must purchase class materials. Students need to be on time and attend classes every day. Punctual and regular attendance is absolutely necessary for success and also in order to take the required test at the end of the semester.
