Apprenticeship

An apprenticeship program combines on-the-job work experience and classroom-related instruction to produce an employee that is skilled in their chosen occupation. Sponsored apprenticeship programs are a proven system for training employees and building and maintaining a highly-skilled workforce.

Students

Apprenticeship students must be sponsored or employed by a local business before enrolling in an apprenticeship program.

Employers

Hawkeye currently offers construction and healthcare trade apprenticeship programs that are approved by the Department of Labor.

Contact Hawkeye Business and Community Education if your company or business is interested in partnering to create an apprenticeship program to train your workforce.
