A learning target is the desired result of teaching for learning. This is also known as a learning outcome, intended outcome, or performance standard.
The learning target focuses not on what the teacher is doing (the inputs to the learning process), but rather the expected results (the outputs of the learning process).
- What should students know or be able to do at the end of learning activity?
- How well should they be able to do it?
- How will you know it/can do it at the desired level?
