Computer Network Technician - Apple

JOB SUMMARY: This individual develops, creates, and implements solutions, repairs, and designs for Apple/PC desktop computer systems. Works with Systems Administrator, Network Engineer and Desktop Systems Coordinator to create solutions. Analyzes existing technology, creates and plans updates to the College’s hardware, and recommends purchase of new technology in order to keep the College current. Sets up and repairs personal computers, as needed. Uses good judgment, tact and courtesy when dealing with the public and staff. Maintains campus standards in the purchase of hardware and perform inventory control. Sets up and installs software on all college computers, as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in a related field and one year of information systems training or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience with personal computer concepts, specifically with Apple. Demonstrated commitment to customer service. Project a positive and professional image while working with staff and students. Working knowledge of general office practices, procedures and standard office equipment. Ability to properly handle confidential information. Demonstrated skill in interpersonal relations and conflict resolution. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work on multiple tasks. Ability to work with diverse groups, faculty, staff and students. Ability to maintain and prepare records and reports.
