Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

The Federal SEOG program provides financial assistance to Federal Pell Grant eligible undergraduates with exceptional financial need.

The federal government provides grant funds to Hawkeye. We then select the neediest students who have applied for financial aid and who meet the awarding criteria established by the federal government.

Federal SEOG awards at Hawkeye are based on the availability of funding and can range from $100 to $500 per academic year. These funds are limited and not all students who qualify will receive a Federal SEOG grant. Preference is given to students that file the FAFSA and are registered by July 1.
