Grants

Iowa Grant

The Iowa Grant is available to assist Iowa students who have the greatest financial need on their FAFSA.

Grant funds are sent to Hawkeye. We then select the neediest students who have applied for financial aid and who meet the awarding criteria. Funding for this program varies each year and funds are limited.

The maximum grant is $1000 per year for up to four years of full-time undergraduate study (adjusted for less than full-time enrollment). The number of Iowa Grants awarded each year is based on the availability of funding.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Iowa resident
  • enrolled in at least 3 credit hours in a qualified program of study (of at least 12-weeks duration)
  • enrolled at any college in Iowa

To Apply

  • complete a FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1. Preference at Hawkeye is given to students that file by July 1.
