After one term of not complying with the Financial Aid Standards for Satisfactory Progress you will be placed on “warning” status and be notified via your Hawkeye email. This is a warning to the student that Hawkeye’s satisfactory progress standards (2.0 cumulative GPA and a cumulative completion rate of 67%) must be met during the next term of enrollment.
While on warning status, you will be eligible to receive financial aid unless other financial aid withdrawal guidelines apply. However, if after one subsequent term you fail to meet any of the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards for financial aid, you will be placed on suspension status. At this point you will not be eligible to receive financial aid.
If the grade that caused you to go onto warning status was in error or submitted late and you would like your records reviewed to see if you are now in compliance and can be removed from financial aid warning, please print and fill out the Warning Review Request form [pdf] and return it to the Financial Aid office within ten days of the receiving your changed grade.
You will receive an email after each term notifying you of your current status.
