Whether you are sick, managing a chronic health problem, or working to develop a healthier lifestyle, we are here to help. Our mission is to provide you with supportive health, education, and counseling services to promote your academic and personal success. Our staff includes an advanced registered nurse practitioner and a mental health counselor. We understand the diverse needs of college students and strive to assist you in meeting those needs. Flu ShotsFlu shots are available at many of the local pharmacies. The Student Health Clinic highly recommends receiving one. Eligibility and CostAll students registered at Hawkeye Community College and their dependent children may use Hawkeye Student Health Clinic services. Health insurance is not required to receive care and services are no cost or minimal cost. Scheduling an AppointmentPlease call to schedule an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Counselor. We see walk-ins if the schedule allows, however, not all services are provided every day. Appointments are recommended. When visiting the Student Health Clinic, please bring the following: Excuse NotesThe Hawkeye Student Health Clinic will not provide notes to excuse students from class. You are responsible for notifying your instructor of any absence and making up any work/class missed. |
