Occasionally you may encounter situations in your life that affect your learning environment. When these situations arise, counseling is available to provide short-term assistance, and in some cases, referral to community resources for long-term help. Meeting individually with a licensed professional counselor in a private setting can help you to clarify thoughts and feelings, develop problem-solving skills and coping strategies, and to construct a plan for the future. The Student Health Clinic provides free counseling services with a licensed mental health practitioner. Our counselor is available to help you with: - stress management

She has provided skill building services and therapy for individuals and families.
Adarienne brings a high level of experience to Hawkeye in various areas of mental health: depression, anxiety, stress management, substance abuse, and eating disorders, to name a few. “I am overall pretty practical. I really enjoy working with people to help them find answers to their struggles. I enjoy peeling away layers and discovering the internal source of problems so that the resolution is more long lasting”. On her personal time, Adarienne loves to work outside in her flower garden and help her husband around their acreage. She grew up living the farm life and enjoys being outdoors. She also enjoys reading to learn and music. |
