The Testing Center is for Hawkeye students who are unable to take an exam during their scheduled class time and have made arrangements with their instructor to take their test through the Testing Center. Additionally, students with accommodations may take their exams through the Testing Center. All appointments need to be scheduled in advance by calling the Testing Center. Please leave a message if your call is not answered immediately. Leave your name, number and who the exam is with.

Hawkeye recommends unvaccinated individuals to wear a mask on campus.

Clear, valid photo identification is required each time a test is taken. Examples of approved ID include:
- Hawkeye Card student ID
- Non-expired Government issued ID (Driver's license or passport)

The Testing Center staff will follow the instructor's specific testing instructions attached to the test. It is the student’s responsibility to contact their instructors prior to the testing time to be certain of the materials that are allowed into the testing room and to be clear on all testing guidelines and instructions.

You are responsible to provide any materials needed for testing such as calculators, pencils, etc. The Testing Center staff will provide all scratch paper. All calculators will be cleared before entering the testing room.

You cannot take outerwear (coats, hats, mittens, etc.), cell phones, backpacks, purses, watches, activity trackers, and like accessories into the testing rooms. Lockers with padlocks are available. Be prepared to empty pockets and show wrists and ankles before going into the testing lab.

Appointments are required for all testing. In order to provide appropriate accommodations, appointments that require testing accommodations should be made 24 hours in advance.

Cheating is not tolerated. If you are caught cheating your instructor will be immediately notified.
- Children are not allowed in the Testing Center.
These guidelines and procedures are in place to:
- Provide students with appropriate accommodations and testing environments.
- Give staff ample time to make appropriate arrangements for testing.
- Assure instructors that tests are secure and testers are well monitored.
