Building Connections at All Levels

Hawkeye's legislative liaison provides leadership and coordination for all local, state, and federal legislation in support of the mission of Hawkeye Community College.

We work to:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal government officials.
  • Represent and advocate on behalf of Hawkeye to the Iowa General Assembly and the U.S. Congress for funding and policy initiatives.
  • Inform the college community about issues and bills coming before the legislature that may impact Hawkeye.
  • Assist any students, faculty, staff, administrators, and trustees with interactions and events involving elected officials.
