Interested In Being a Peer Tutor?
Students interested in becoming a Peer Tutor must be a current Hawkeye student and have:
- Received a grade of A or B in the class you wish to tutor.
- An overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Instructor approval for each course you are qualified to tutor.
To apply, complete the Peer Tutor and Supplemental Instruction Leader Student Employee Application [pdf] and return to the peer tutor coordinator at the Student Tutoring and Computer Lab.
The Peer Tutor Coordinator will contact you if a student needs your assistance.
Peer Tutors are hired based upon students’ needs. Do not be concerned if you do not receive a call immediately. Your application will be kept on file for the entire school year.
