Training & Funding to Match Your Needs

Automation, robotics, mechatronics, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) have all changed the skills needed in manufacturing. You can count on the Automation & Robotics Center at Hawkeye Community College to offer the training, testing, and certification of those skills.

Training is good for business and can help you gain and retain employees. We help you connect with resources that, if your business and training qualify, could make the training free.

Count on Hawkeye to match your training needs with programs that make that training custom to your plant or robust enough to keep your workforce future-ready through the next generation.

Programs Designed for Your Competitive Need

Industrial automation and robotics require skilled workers to keep production and processes running smoothly. There are funding programs designed to help you fill the kinds of skill gaps you face.

Iowa Industrial New Jobs Training Program: 260E

Training for your people at no cost to you—what could be better than that? Work with Hawkeye to set up an Iowa 260E program. Train at your site or ours—customized or general, based on your needs.

Iowa Jobs Training Program: 260F

The Accelerated Career Education (ACE) program helps build a skilled workforce by partnering to expand or create training programs. Businesses benefit through tax incentives, access to training workers, and the opportunity to shaper program design while sponsoring student positions.

Setting up and registering an apprenticeship program gives your business control over the training and the supply of new workers. Replace retiring workers, expand into new Iowa locations, or increase your existing workforce—all with entry level workers trained to your specifications.
