Welding Techniques

Program Overview

Train in a lab with the latest welding equipment and learn how to weld on various metals.

  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)/Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG)
  • Fillet Welding
  • Applied Math
  • Electric Arc Welding Safety
  • Blueprint Reading

Welding Lab: Use the latest welding equipment in the industry as you learn and perfect your welding skills on various types of metals.

An independent lab checks your welding skills to see if you can earn a certificate from the American Welding Society.

Short-term training or workforce certificates are not eligible for financial aid, but they may be covered by other funding sources. We’ll help you with the options.

No admissions requirements or entrance exam.

You must have appropriate safety equipment, including welding helmet and gloves, safety glasses, leather shoes, long sleeve shirt, ear plugs, chipping hammer, wire brush, and pliers/vice grip before participating in labs.
