Testing Center

Testing, Proctoring, and More

Hawkeye Community College is an official test site for several college entrance exams, professional certification exams, and a proctoring site.

Current Hawkeye students can take advantage of our testing center for make-up exams and testing accommodations.

Testing Center Policies

Schedule an Appointment to Test

Testing is by appointment only. Check the details for your specific test to find out how to schedule your appointment.

Accommodations

Accommodation testing is processed through the exam vendor.

Hawkeye students can work with Student Accessibility Services to set up testing accommodations tailored to their needs.

What to Bring on Test Day

  • Photo ID: Most tests require you to show a non-expired, government-issued photo ID with your signature when you to check in. Refer to your test instructions to determine which IDs are required for your specific certification or professional test.
  • Payment Receipt: If the test you're taking has a fee, make sure to bring your receipt from the Business Office with you when you check in for the test.

What You Can’t Bring

Before you enter the testing area, you’ll need to store all your personal items and accessories. This helps keep the Testing Center professional and makes sure you can focus on your test.

For health, safety, and liability reasons, children aren’t allowed in the Testing Center.

During Your Test

We’ll give you scratch paper to use during your test if allowed.

If there are any issues during your testing (like cheating), your instructor or test vendor will be informed.

Note: The check in and testing rooms are under video and sound surveillance.
